Blogs serve as an effective information technology tool for getting audience feedback since Internet users can easily post responses to the blog posts in the comment section.

- User interfaces allow students to collaborate in ways that help them develop teamwork and build on knowledge. Tools such as wikis allow students to pool their knowledge together into a document that any of the students can edit. The students must develop negotiation skills to overcome disagreements with other students regarding what should be included in the wiki.
Multimedia
- While text dominates education, educators can use audio and video online, utilizing visual and auditory teaching techniques found to be successful in the physical classroom. Webcams allow educators to either record videos to send to students or communicate with students in real time. Podcasts and audio streaming over the Internet allows instructors to speak to their students.
